Z — The Long Way Home | Digital Automotive Art Book
Some roads take fifty years to bring us home.
An illustrated journey through generations of the Z, told through departure, distance, changing roads, and return. This is not a book about specifications. It is about what happens when one automotive lineage keeps moving for more than fifty years.
RONIN AUTOMOTIVE STUDIES / 02
Some cars are remembered for where they arrived. The Z is remembered for making us want to leave.
The Long Way Home follows the Z through generations as a single emotional journey: the optimism of departure, the comfort of distance, technological uncertainty, confidence, rediscovery, and finally return.
The book begins with the idea that the Z was never simply a famous sports car. Its real subject is movement — roads, motels, highways, suburbs, desert, weather, ordinary places and the strange way a machine can become attached to a period of life.
Across the book, every generation becomes another stage of the same journey. And at the end, departure and return become the same story viewed from opposite ends: “Some roads take fifty years to bring us home.”
